Generate offers three social clubs for adults with a learning disability each week and a monthly disco in the centre of Tooting. Becoming a club member is simple. You will be asked to complete a form giving us contact details and brief details about how we can best support you. Once you have registered with us you will be informed about club activities and you can choose on what days you want to come along.
You pay £3 on the night and are asked to bring any extra money for required outings or special club activities – all costs will be advertised on the programme. The entrance fee to the disco is also £3 and you buy drinks and snacks at the bar as required.
Clubs
Our Social Clubs are user led. This means that club members plan the programme and our Club Coordinator supports them to do the things they want to do. There are a mix of club nights at our 73 Summerstown base and outings and the varied programme means that there is something for everyone to enjoy. This is an opportunity to get together with peers in a safe supported environment on a regular basis and enjoy an evening out. Our Club nights are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Disco
Held on the last Friday of each month at the Castle Inn Tooting Broadway this is a lively social event which provides the opportunity for people to dress for a night out and get into some serious dancing. Our DJs are all people with a learning disability and from time to time special themed nights are organised. If you need to bring a carer they are invited to join us free of charge and you are welcome to bring friends and family who will be asked to pay the £3 entrance fee. Family supporters often enjoy a drink in the bar next door whilst the disco is underway.
